NEW TELEHEALTH SERVICES COMING TO OUR FRONTENAC CLINIC!
Girard Medical Center is excited to announce a new partnership with Integrative Health Centers (IHC) to provide behavioral health and psychotherapy telehealth services in our Frontenac Clinic.
We want to welcome Christie Wetzel, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and LeAnne Garland, LCSW to the Girard Medical Center team. Christi and LeAnne will be providing psychotherapy services to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties by providing tools to assist patient’s mental function and increase well-being. Psychotherapy can be an effective part of treatment for problems such as anxiety, depression, bipolar and other mood disorders, coping with daily life, the impact of trauma and PTSD, anger, grief, and ADHD.
Christie Wetzel is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and Post Master Certificate from the University of Cincinnati. Christie has experience in a variety of settings including working with homeless Veterans struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, as well as working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health issues including mood disorders and anxiety disorders as inpatients, outpatients and in partial hospitalization programs. Additionally, she has experience with eating disorder patients, trauma survivors, and patients struggling with severe mental illness, as well as in forensic psychiatry.
LeAnne Garland is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master in Social Work from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. LeAnne has experience working with individuals that are dealing with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral issues, and trauma. Past experiences include working in an inpatient behavioral health unit, individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting, sexual abuse, and child advocacy center, MRT therapy within the prison system and overseeing an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization program.
