Girard Medical Center Congratulates Nathan Jameson on Heart of Health Care Worker Award
Girard Medical Center proudly congratulates Nathan Jameson, RN, for being honored at the 2024 Kansas Hospital Association (KHA) Annual Convention with the prestigious Heart of Health Care Worker nomination. Nathan’s dedication and compassionate care earned him a place in the top five among nominees, a recognition that reflects his exceptional contributions to both the hospital and the community.
Nathan has been a registered nurse in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit at Girard Medical Center since graduating from Pittsburg State University in 2017. His journey in health care is defined by a deep commitment to ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of his patients. Whether it's going above and beyond to provide patients with clothing when they arrive without proper attire or purchasing sunglasses and hats to protect patients on medications from photosensitivity, Nathan exemplifies the spirit of care.
His calm, soft-spoken demeanor has made him a cornerstone of the Senior Behavioral Health team. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathan's adaptability was showcased when he seamlessly transitioned to medical units to assist with the influx of patients. He quickly became known for his willingness to help coworkers and his ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
In addition to his work in nursing, Nathan is an active member of the Employee Engagement Committee and is known for delivering home-baked treats to staff as a gesture of gratitude. His dedication to enhancing both patient and employee experiences makes him an invaluable asset to Girard Medical Center.
The Heart of Health Care Worker Award honors hospital employees across Kansas who have made a significant impact on their workplace and their community, and Nathan Jameson’s recognition is a testament to his compassionate approach to health care. We are incredibly proud to have him on our team and grateful for the positive difference he continues to make each day.
Please join us in congratulating Nathan on this well-deserved honor!
