This accreditation further solidifies Girard Medical Center's commitment to serving the healthcare needs of our communities by ensuring access to vital immunization services for children.
With this recent designation, Girard Medical Center now boasts VFC provider status across three of its locations, including Fort Scott and Uniontown. This expansion of services allows us to support better the health and well-being of the communities we serve, providing convenient access to essential vaccines for eligible children.
The Vaccines for Children program, administered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. This program helps ensure that all children have access to the vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), regardless of their financial status.
Girard Medical Center of Arma accepts various types of insurance through the Vaccines for Children program, including Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicare Part B, and certain private insurance plans. This broad acceptance ensures that eligible children can receive the necessary vaccines without financial burden.
