Grant Awarded to Girard Medical Center
Eric Bradshaw, Director of Physical Therapy, and a student demonstrate the new Walking Track System in the Physical Therapy Department at Girard Medical Center.
The walking track is an overhead track system that attaches to a harness which protects patients with decreased mobility from falling. It provides support and increases confidence for patients during all aspects of physical therapy, including sit-to-stand, walking therapy, balance training and climbing stairs.
This new system with allow the therapy department to better assist patients, get them to their prior function level quicker, and better assist our community.
Thank you to the Girard Community Foundation that awarded the grant to purchase the Walking Track System, and to the Girard Medical Center Foundation for providing additional funds needed for the project.
