Supporting the Hospital and Its Staff
At the core of our efforts is our commitment to the Girard Medical Center and its employees. We take pride in running the Girard Medical Center Gift Shop, which not only offers a wide array of merchandise but also contributes to our fundraising initiatives. But that's just the beginning.
Throughout the year, we invite external vendors to showcase their products in the hospital lobby, providing an exciting shopping experience for both employees and visitors. What makes this even more special is that employees have the convenience of using payroll deduction for their purchases. A percentage of the total sales from these events goes directly to the Auxiliary, supporting our hospital's mission.
Community Involvement
Beyond our hospital-focused activities, we are deeply involved in the local community. During National Hospital Week, we collaborate with Haderlein Elementary to serve as chaperons for second-grade students, fostering an early appreciation for healthcare and community involvement.
Our commitment extends to organizing the Girard Community Blood Mobile Drive multiple times a year. We manage the scheduling and work tirelessly to recruit donors, ensuring a steady supply of life-saving blood for our community.
Fundraising Initiatives
We are no strangers to fundraising, and we host several events each year. From selling poinsettias and donuts to sponsoring book fairs and scrub sales, we're always finding creative ways to raise funds. We take pride in contributing to the hospital's festive atmosphere, having paid for the beautiful Christmas lights adorning the front and the stone sign that proudly displays our name.
