Location: Girard Medical Center – Girard, Kansas
Position Type: Full-Time, Day Shift (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Includes on-call rotation every third weekend
Position Summary
Girard Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our Senior Behavioral Health (SBH) team. This position provides therapeutic and case management services to patients in both the Inpatient Senior Behavioral Health Unit and the Structured Outpatient Program as needed.
The LMSW will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop collaborative treatment plans with patients, and provide group therapy. The ideal candidate will work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team and demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the mental health and well-being of the geriatric population.
Key Responsibilities

Provide group therapy and case management services to Senior Behavioral Health patients

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments

Develop and implement mutually agreed-upon treatment plans with patients

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support patient care

Assist with services in the Structured Outpatient Program when needed

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Education & Licensure Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire

Minimum one year of post-master’s clinical social work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Preferred Experience
-
One year of experience in a behavioral health setting

Experience providing individual and group therapy

Experience working with the geriatric population
Qualifications

Previous experience in social work, counseling, or a related field
